Aspen's designer shopping fits in about six blocks. The big fashion houses cluster on S Galena Street south of Hopkins Avenue and on S Mill Street a block west. Hermès, Moncler Grenoble and the jewelers line the Hyman Avenue pedestrian mall, and the Cooper Avenue mall holds the Italian knitwear and the Rolex retailer. You can walk all of it in an afternoon. Most of these stores open between 10am and 11am and close around 6pm, with shorter Sunday hours or none at all. Every store here is in our Downtown Aspen listings.
How Buying Works Here
Treat Aspen like any resort market: the boutiques are small, so a specific size, color or bag may not be on the floor the day you walk in. If you want a particular piece, call or email the store a week or two before your trip, give your sizes, and ask whether they can hold it or bring it in from another store. Get the name of the associate who helps you; going back to the same person is how you get a call when something you asked about comes in. Prada and Hermès both note that appointments are available; at Hermès they are optional during opening hours. Late October through Thanksgiving is the quiet stretch, a good time for unhurried service, but confirm hours before you go.
S Galena Street: The Fashion Houses
Start at Galena and Hopkins. Dior (203 S Galena St) holds the corner; its Aspen page lists women's ready-to-wear, bags, small leather goods, exotic leathers, shoes and accessories, open Monday to Saturday 11am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 3pm. Gucci (204 S Galena St) carries women's and men's clothing and shoes, handbags, travel bags, watches and jewelry. Zegna (211 S Galena St) is the men's stop on this block for clothing, sportswear and accessories, and Kemo Sabe (217 S Galena St) is the Western counterpart, with Stetson hats, Lucchese boots, buckles, custom hats and a bar upstairs.
Farther down the street, Valentino (304 S Galena St) has women's and men's collections, shoes, handbags, fragrances and eyewear. Prada (312 S Galena St) has women's and men's ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, jewelry, beauty, home goods and travel pieces; it is open Monday to Saturday 11am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 4pm, and private appointments are available.
S Mill Street
One block west, Louis Vuitton (206 S Mill St) is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 5pm, and offers Collect-in-Store if you order online and pick up in Aspen. It closes on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Next door, Chrome Hearts (208 S Mill St) sells the Los Angeles company's accessories, leather goods and furniture, and Frette (220 S Mill St) is a few doors up for linens.
The Hyman Avenue Mall
Hermès (521 E Hyman Ave) is on the pedestrian mall, open Monday to Saturday 11am to 6pm and closed Sundays. Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours, and you can book an appointment ahead. The store carries apparel, handbags, scarves, home goods, fragrances and shoes.
Moncler Grenoble (432 E Hyman Ave) opened in early 2026 as the first US flagship for Moncler's mountain line and its second worldwide after St. Moritz. It is about 2,700 square feet in an 1890s sandstone corner building, with a cave-style entrance and collections that run from technical skiwear to après-ski pieces. Aspen was also the site of Moncler's first US store, in 2008.
On the same mall, Kiton (535 E Hyman Ave, Ste 105) sells handmade-in-Naples apparel for men and women. Golden Goose (419 E Hyman Ave, Unit 2) has the sneakers, boots and bags, and FoundRae (520 E Hyman Ave) opened its fine jewelry showroom in January 2026, open Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 6pm. Van Cleef & Arpels lists a boutique at 400 E Hyman Ave, but its page says it is temporarily closed for renovation and plans to reopen this winter season.
The Cooper Avenue Mall
Brunello Cucinelli (508 E Cooper Ave) is the Italian label's cashmere and knitwear store, open Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 6pm. Ralph Lauren (501 E Cooper Ave) has men's and women's clothing and accessories, open Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday noon to 5pm. For designer pieces at resale prices, The Little Bird (525 E Cooper Ave) is a luxury consignment shop with clothing, handbags, jewelry and accessories, open Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 5pm.
An Afternoon Route
Start at Dior and walk south on Galena past Gucci, Zegna and Kemo Sabe to Valentino and Prada. Turn onto the Hyman Avenue mall for Hermès, Moncler Grenoble, Golden Goose, FoundRae and Kiton, then drop one block to Cooper Avenue for Brunello Cucinelli, Ralph Lauren and Meridian. Finish on S Mill Street at Louis Vuitton and Chrome Hearts. Men shopping for a ski-week wardrobe can do a shorter loop: Zegna, Kiton and Brunello Cucinelli are within a few blocks of each other. Hermès, Meridian Jewelers, Oliver Smith and Panerai are closed Sundays, and Oliver Smith and Panerai are closed Mondays too, so plan a Tuesday-to-Saturday visit to catch every store whose hours we could confirm.
Jewelers and Watches
The watch buyer's distinctions matter in Aspen. Meridian Jewelers (525 E Cooper Ave) is listed on Rolex's own site as an Official Rolex Retailer, open Monday to Saturday 11am to 6pm. If you want a new watch with the manufacturer's warranty from an authorized source, start there, and ask about the waiting list for the most requested references.
Oliver Smith Jeweler (400 E Hyman Ave) works out of the historic Tom Thumb building, above the Panerai boutique it operates downstairs. Oliver Smith makes jewelry in-house and sells estate watches and jewelry, with Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Cartier and Omega among the brands it lists; it also buys pieces you no longer wear. Both are open Tuesday to Saturday noon to 7pm.
Avi & Co. (602 E Cooper Ave, #104) is the Aspen branch of the New York and Miami dealer, selling Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe and Richard Mille plus custom diamond jewelry; ask whether a watch is new or pre-owned and what warranty comes with it. Betteridge Aspen (655 E Durant Ave), part of the Watches of Switzerland group, features Roberto Coin and offers watch servicing and engraving, open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm.
If you are shopping for ski wear rather than city clothes, see our guide to Aspen ski shops, and our hotels guide lists the hotels within a few minutes' walk of these blocks.
